Corn Healer
Corn HealerThis female spiritual being is dressed in the Pueblo style for the annual Corn Feast. A corn stalk adorns her dress and represents life, livelihood, food and abundance. The home is represented on the right in the shadow and protection of the sacred mountains. On the left, four arrows move upward representing our growth and stages of life. The Corn Healer wears two necklaces representing male and female. Her facial features are not seenbecause she is in spirit form, although her hairstyle suggests she is a young lady, not yet a woman. Her crown channels the sacred elements necessary for life, and she wears two pairs of feathers, bringing balance. The four feathers bring protection in the four directions, and a fifth feather at her back completes the five fingers of the human hand, pushing life forward into the future with Beauty.
